Norwich wedding photographer | Laura and Steve

What a superb day to be a Norwich wedding photographer and such a fantastic couple to work with. The wedding ceremony was at St Peter Mancroft which has been a significant part of Laura’s family and her upbringing so it was the obvious choice for her wedding. Steve serves with the RAF and it’s always an impressive sight to see a groom’s party in full military uniform (there was a Guardsman in there as well to add a bit of glamour!) The reception was a short walk over to the Assembly House.

Midmar Castle wedding photography of Tsumi and Rich

When I was asked to photograph Tsumi and Rich’s wedding in Aberdeen, I spoke to the bride who recommended me and she said “yes, the big pink castle”. Oh, okay. Not sure if it was a wind up or not, I smiled politely and waited. Glorious summer sunshine greeted me at Aberdeen airport, I wasn’t expecting that. And although I was half expecting a big pink castle, I was very pleasantly surprised by the beauty of Midmar Castle and impressed not only by it’s history but that of it’s current owner, Tsumi’s Dad – but that’s another story. Driving up through the deer park to the castle itself where Tsumi and Rich had a marquee put up with a one clear wall to get a view of the castle from inside. As you would expect, a lot of the details of the day had a traditional Scottish theme but less expected was the under lying Australian theme; surf boards, flip-flops (I’d call them thongs but still seems wrong to me!) and the odd kangaroo in the trees (of course!) The evening was rounded off with a great ceilidh.

Here are a few of my favourite images from the day.

St Pauls Cathedral wedding photography of Andrea & Barry

Here are a few of my favourite images from the St Pauls Cathedral wedding photography of Andrea and Barry. They were married in the crypt of St Pauls Cathedral, in the OBE Chapel and celebrated their wedding reception in the gardens of the Royal Hospital, home of the Chelsea Pensioners on the banks of the river Thames.

Beautiful work, as always. Quite amazing light in the crypt -that first shot is simply fantastic.

St Pauls Cathedral wedding photography of Andrea + Barry

I’ve not seen two more excited people than Andrea and Barry before their wedding! Doing St Pauls Cathedral wedding photography is always a great privilege and guarenteed to get some impressive images, it really wasnn’t a patch on how intense the chemistry between Andrea and Barry was. They were married in the crypt of St Pauls Cathedral in the OBE Chapel but got to walk through the main cathedral on the way too and from the ceremony, which can be an imposing and daunting prospect. But they were far too excited to worry about that! After the ceremony, it was off along the Embankment to the grounds of the Royal Hospital Chelsea for a the reception in a huge marquee (and I mean ‘huge’, comfortably fitted two or three standard marquees in there). Again though, however impressive, nothing could compare to how lovely Andrea and Barry were together – fantastic day and lots to look forward too in the very near future!

Lincolnshire wedding Photography | Louisa + Harry

Scorchingly hot July day for some Lincolnshire wedding photography of Louisa and Harry. Beautiful day and a beautiful (but very anxious) bride and a very English groom under the influence of his new Dutch family. Glorious wedding afternoon with a well planned fly past by the Red Arrows (perhaps not strictly planned by Harry and Louisa but a fly past all the same). Here are a few of my favourite images from the day and you can see the full gallery by clicking this link | Lincolnshire wedding photography

Hampden House wedding photographer | Anna + James

Hampden House wedding photographer, now I’m happy to admit that occasionally at weddings, during speeches particularly, I have a moment where my hay fever plays up or the room seems very dusty all of a sudden and my eyes get a little teary (to clear away the dust trapped there, obviously). But at Anna and James’s wedding at Hampden House I could challenge even the hardest of hearted not to have been blubbing like a bairn. When I met Anna first thing in the morning, she had the biggest, happiest smile and over-flowing with excitement. She was like that from the start all the way through the day, so infectious and lovely to be around. On days like this, I hope that only good things will happen to lovely people like this. I was keeping an eye on the weather and that was looking a bit iffy but Anna was completely undaunted, if anything the smile grew more, nothing was going to phase her! A beautiful church ceremony in Hampden House’s adjacent church and short walk over to the House. It was just before the cutting of the cake, everyone standing around the main hall and they asked their guitarist (the fantastic Andrew McKnight flown over from the States just for the occasion) to play a song – the song they chose was perfect, it could have been written for the that moment alone. Anna and James had an impromptu first dance as Andrew played from the minstrels gallery. Quite a few guests had dust in their eyes at this point, lot of pollen for a rainy day. Anna & James, if your life is anywhere near as emotional as your wedding, you are in for an incredible time.

Here are a few of my favourite images from the day.
