Bray wedding photography of Liz & Chris

Bray wedding photography. From the moment I walked into Liz’s parents’ garden, you could tell how much thought and hard work had gone into this wedding. Stepping into the marquee just took that realisation up a couple of notches!

Bray wedding photography. Chris is a cyclist and that was always going to be a theme of the day. But to have made this and so many other personal touches such an integral part of the celebrations was impressive. Stand out though were the bright, bold and glorious sunflowers every where, throughout the garden, the church, the bouquets …even the bridesmaids shoes were bright yellow to match. No matter how overcast the day may have been in parts, it was bright and sunny every where.
Preparations with girls in the morning were done with quiet, military-style efficiency. The boys, well, they were at the church on time, if a little bemused. Bray Church is a quintessential English church and perfect for the solemnity of a marriage ceremony. The church yard is also conveniently sized, large enough for an E-Type open top Jag, for Chris to drive his new bride away! Quick stop at The Waterside Inn, one of Chris and Liz’s favourite restaurants, for a few photos before heading back to the house for the party.

And what a party! Drinks reception on the lawn, some spectacular canapés (mmmmm) and then into the marquee for the evening. I think Chris got away lightly with his best man’s speech, although the best man bringing out a printed booklet of incriminating photos did make him sweat a little. The evening was rounded off by one of the best wedding bands around, certainly my favourite, Fake Tan, guaranteed to get everyone on the dance floor. Mind you, I don’t think this crowd needed much encouragement! All the right elements for a wedding, done well and made to look effortless. You can’t fault this wedding, it was quite simply superb.

Many congratulations to the new Mr & Mrs!
