Botleys Mansion wedding photographer. This was always going to be a great wedding for me – Simon is an old friend and I’m happy to say, Friederike is now a new friend. Botleys Mansion is one of Bijou wedding venues stunning country houses, add in some sunshine and you have the perfect day. Also in the mix was a German bride (timings meticulously organised) and an Australian groom (“yeah, whatever mate, just go for it”): German wedding traditions of tapping the wine glasses throughout the meal until the bride and groom kiss and Australian wedding tradition of bringing a bottle of rum to the table. The day started with a very civilised drinks reception before the ceremony outdoors. Followed by a very relaxing reception in the glorious sunshine – which actually left a few of the Aussies confused, I mean England in the sunshine, they weren’t expecting that! Whatever next, England winning the cricket? Here are a few of my favourite images from the day.

Just One image from the wedding at Botleys Mansion of Friederike & Simon. Perfect wedding day, amazing wedding venue, beautiful bride and a good looking groom, doesn’t really get better than that as a Botleys Mansion wedding photographer! The ordered and organised nature of Friederike’s German family and the laid back and casual attitude of Simon’s Aussie family came together in a ying and yang kinda way and made for a great wedding. Helen and Tom couldn’t really have asked for a more perfect autumnal day to have their wedding at Loseley Park. Beautiful golden sunshine was just hugging the horizon as the guests turned up …and most importantly, it stayed dry! But enough about the weather – wedding photography at Loseley Park is always a lot of fun, the hall creates plenty of challenges and great opportunities for fantastic images. Tom was (and I’m sure he’ll deny it) a little anxious and Helen was very excited which made for a moving ceremony – I dont think Helen stopped smiling all the way through.

Off to Denbies Wine Estate in Dorking, Surrey for the wedding photography of Anna and Alex. Yet again the weather gods were keeping us on our toes right up until the last minute and yet again, we had nothing to worry about – Denbies is a superb venue to get out amongst the vines for wedding photos, a little bit trickier in high heels when it’s raining (not that I’ve tried personally, you understand) but glorious in the late afternoon sun. There was an awkward moment as one of the guests arrived dressed all in white but we could forgive him as it was Monty the dog – he didn’t have any of the fabulous Denbies wine but certainly had his eye on a canape or two.

Surrey wedding photography of Annabel and Deane

This has to be one of the most popular weddings I’ve had for a long time judging by the amount of requests to see the gallery. Which is a great testament to how popular Annabel and Deane are. These guys were nervous about their photography from the start – well, actually about 6 months before! We had a engagement shoot which I think settled nerves a little, not as much as the champagne on the day. Annabel’s mother had done a fantastic job in bringing the whole day together, huge amount of work. It was, as they say south of the border “…one blerry lekker day mun …”!

Jo + Daniel | Wentworth Golf Club

Another sweltering hot day for Jo and Daniel’s wedding photography at Wentworth Golf Club, Surrey. There were a few emotional moments during the day: when Daniel had to hand the keys of his car over to the best man; when the guests turned up to the reception and saw a swimming pool but realised they hadn’t brought their Speedos; when Dan the video man got behind the wheel of a golf cart and realised he had full-riegn of the whole golf course; and when I turned up to Jo’s house in the morning she burst into tears. Thankfully the day got better from there. Jo, like most brides, was anxious how she would look but she really had nothing to worry about, she was stunning. The colours for the day were bold and beautiful.

The day was expertly filmed by ‘Dan, Dan the video man’, him of From the Hip productions.
