Hampshire wedding photography of Nikki & Pete
Hampshire wedding photography. We managed to squeak a few more hours of warmth and sunshine out of this summer for Nikki & Pete’s wedding. As ever, we had a curious morning of watching the skies as it threatened rain, drizzled a little bit, cleared up, then drizzled a bit more before eventually deciding that it would be much nicer to just have blue skies and lots of sunshine – the weather, as ever, just letting us know that it has the final say in any wedding plans! The wedding ceremony was held at St Mary’s Church, Easton where everyone there was wonderfully welcoming and keen to make sure that everyone had the opportunity to enjoy and take part in the marriage – it’s rare for churches to be this open but when they are, it works brilliantly.

On to Oakley Hall Hotel for the reception where the huge grounds provided plenty of space for the kids to run and play and for guests to enjoy champagne. Speeches were entertaining and, as always, enlightening – I suspect Pete got away with a mild roasting! Nikki looked sublimely elegant throughout it all. Special mention must go to Nikki’s father having organized not one but two weddings this year and, I hope, is having a well earned rest from the lists of flowers, table plans, directions, photographers, video, catering, wine ….and on! Where I’m from Pete would be considered “one lekker oke”.He brought a mix of South African and English ushers together, big and small. Â
A cheeky text during the extensive pre-mission statement and tasking by the best man. Delegation and final management of car parking was of the highest standard.
