Hedsor House wedding photography | Just One

It’s always a huge privilege when a fellow wedding photographer asks you to photograph their wedding – a privilege and a little nerve racking! But when a good friend and fellow wedding photographer Guy Hearn asked me if I’d like to photograph his brothers wedding, the nerve raking o’meter went up a notch. Having met Anna and Tim, I knew I had nothing to worry about – what a superb couple. Perfectly matched for each other with amazing chemistry. The real privilege for me was being witness to two genuine people going through the emotional roller-coaster of a wedding day; a couple you cant help but cheer for and invest so much of your emotional energy in, it was difficult not to get a little teary through out the speeches!

These guys could have got married anywhere and the impact of would have been just as strong, superb couple and amazing family and friends, testament to them both. They did, however, get married at Hedsor House, a Buckinghamshire wedding venue that pretty much knocks the spots of the majority of other wedding venues (you might have seen it in the recent Dustin Hoffman film The Quartet). Here’s one image from the day that I really love for it’s simplicity – we were blessed with a sunny day in December so there’s some golden mid-afternoon winter sunshine and Anna and Tim look so happy and relaxed. It’s not an image that will win awards but to me says so much about what a relaxed, honest, cool and genuine couple they are.
