Layer Marney Tower wedding photography of Nicola and Tom

Yet another day of extraordinary weather, this time for the Layer Marney Tower wedding photography of Nicola and Tom. A promising start to the day, sunny and blue skies with only a few dark clouds brewing on the horizon. But that rain was keen to make it’s presence known, it was really just a case of when! Thankfully it’s timing was most sympathetic as it only started to rain at the end of the reception wedding done, champagne served and group shots all in the bag. There may have only been a few breaks in the rain this summer but at least today it was kind to us. But nothing was going to dampen Nicola’s fantastic and infectious smile, it beamed throughout the day. She was one very happy (and stunning) bride! Tom pulled off the “I’m not really nervous” look before the ceremony and I’m pretty sure if he was nervous, it was through excitement than anything else. Layer Marney is a superb backdrop for a wedding especially when the ceremony is in St Mary the Virgin church, only a few yards away from the tower itself. Drinks reception on the lawn followed by the wedding breakfast in the wood panelled hall, all very civilized. Tom’s cool demeanour looked a little fragile during the speeches well, there’s no denying photographic evidence.
