South Farm wedding photography. I love South Farm as a wedding venue, always welcoming and relaxed. It’s a fantastic space inside and out. But most of all, seems to attract just brilliant couples! None more so than Rachel and Ben. Funny, lovely and a perfect fit for each other.

The day started very calmly with Rachel’s preparations at her home. There may have been a few nerves but if there were, they didn’t show. Genuine excitement, more than anything else. Then off to Church of St. Peter & St. Paul, Alconbury in a very suave Citroen DX, very cool way to travel. The church itself is huge and very grand. It also has one of the best views from the gallery at the back of the church.
After the ceremony, it was off to South Farm for the reception. Barely time to say hello to the arriving guests before we made the most of the last bits of winter light. It is always a good thing to make the most of the grounds around South Farm anytime of the year. The gardens are always lovely and gypsy caravans are a great backdrop. We even had an opportunity of some sunset shots. But the weather got quite frisky, quite quickly so it was into the warmth of the main house for friends and bubbles! We were lucky enough to have the magical stylings of Lee Smith, one of the best close up walk about magicians I’ve seen at weddings.
Before heading over to the barn for the meal, we had a quick visit to the South Farm piglets. Very cute but they do like to nibble a wedding dress! Then it was into the party, in full swing. Some great speeches where poor Ben got well and truly toasted!
