Goodwood wedding photography of Leah & Richard
Goodwood wedding photography. Chichester Cathedral and Goodwood House, two incredibly beautiful venues for a wedding, two venues which are the epitome of Englishness. When you have a wedding in January, you pretty much have to plan for typical British weather, a bit grey and a bit ‘bleh’, and make the most of the indoors. You couldn’t really ask for more with these two backdrops. Chichester Cathedral is as stunning as it is ancient – steeped in history and grandeur. I was incredibly impressed with how friendly, intimate and personal the Dean of Chichester, The Very Revd Stephen Waine, made the whole ceremony. It could have been over-whelming but wasn’t at all.
Goodwood House is one of my favourite venues. Not only is it glorious but everyoneworking there are so very welcoming and helpful. After the early drizzle in the morning, we were spoilt with a bit of blue sky as we arrived at Goodwood, great to be able to get some shots on the balcony. And then into the warmth! The whole of Goodwood House has that wonderful candle lit winter warmness about it at this time of year.
I think the only potential hiccup in the day was the threat of rain. But not a problem with Leah as she had an intricate plan of getting herself across to the Cathedral without getting her stunning Sassi Halford wedding dress wet. Thankfully the rain behaved and gave us enough room to get about with out getting drenched. The rest of the day was pretty much plan perfect. Richard even got away lightly on the best man’s speech. Now, that is pretty impressive!
Congratualtions to the new Mr & Mrs Barratt. Here are few of my favourite images from the day
