One of the things that always makes me chuckle when I meet couples for the first time and show them my sample albums is that it’s not unusual for them to look at the photos for inspiration of how others have put their wedding together and then look at the wedding photography afterwards. So I thought I’d start posting a few of the nice little touches that I see at weddings throughout the year and hopefully give you an a few wedding ideas and inspirations.

Here is one from Kate and Paul’s Nether Winchendon House wedding photography where they hung a large empty frame from a tree branch close to where the reception was going on. They provided a box full of fancy dress wigs, hats and glasses and a few disposable cameras for people to use. Earlier in the reception things were quite civilised but just add champagne and things got more entertaining!

I’ve seen this idea at a couple of weddings that I’ve photographed and although this is a great idea that can be put together pretty much anywhere, I think it tends to work best with a decent bit of background, a bit of good scenery. And then the rest is up to your guests …!
