Essex marquee wedding. And relax. Feel the late spring sunshine on your face and enjoy the refreshing breeze. Because Lucy and her family are in charge and everything has been taken care of. A flawless, simple and brilliantly elegant wedding day. I have no doubt that an incredible amount of hard work went into planning and putting together this wedding. But when you step onto the fresh cut lawn, you can’t help but feel a cool calm about the day ahead. Everything is in its place and all is well.

It’s lovely to see that when a couple are nervous before their wedding that it’s more to do with excitement than anxiety. That was very much the case with Lucy and Tom. There was such a lovely buzz around the church beforehand, everyone wishing nothing but the best for these two. The warmth for the couple starts with welcome you get from the families. Relaxed and full of good grace along with a cheeky sense of humour. You can’t ask for many more ingredients for a perfect wedding day

Special mention goes to the incredible flowers from Tangle & Thyme Florists, stunning displays in the church and hugely impressive in the marquee as well. And it was an absolute pleasure to work with Clementine Cusack and her charming video skills.

“We honestly can’t express how fantastic Jim was – both in the months running up to our wedding and the big day itself. He was extremely helpful throughout our preparations by suggesting what works well and what doesn’t based on his experience, and took a lot of time to capture the essence of what we are like as people and what our day would be like so that he could get the best photos. He is a very calm and assuring presence on the day, and is extremely discreet in going about taking the photographs. As well as producing fantastic photographs (and lots of them!) he also went truly above and beyond in several instances. Overall, superb photos, a truly fantastic person to work with and great value. I actually said to my now husband that he should be charging more considering the quality of his photos and the extent he went above and beyond.
