Hengrave wedding photos

Hengrave Hall weddings photographer. When anyone travels halfway across the world for an English wedding, they often expect a place steeped in grandeur and history but also probably a typically English day weather-wise a bit grey with some drizzle with the off-chance of champagne on the lawn in the sunshine. Hannah and James’s wedding at Hengrave Hall did not disappoint – it had all of this and more! Hengrave Hall is a stunning venue all year round so a big tick in that box; the day started with some glorious sunshine, moved through to grey skies and drizzle and back to sunshine for the drinks reception. Perfect. Hannah and James live in Australia and had travelled back with a fair collection of James’s family and friends to celebrate their marriage near where Hannah grew up. Hengrave Hall is Englishness through and through and the day had a healthy sprinkling of Australianess (is that a word?) throughout. And for those not sure what the cultural differences are between the two countries, they were pointed out by the two best men!

Hengrave bride and groom

Being a Hengrave Hall wedding photographer is always a great job but none more so when you have such a lovely couple to work with. Hannah looked stunning and, although James was a fairly typical groom and not keen on photos, they made for a beautiful couple. The commitment from friends and family to travel for the wedding showed how much high regard they are held. Congratulations to a great couple! Here are a few of my favourite shots from the day.

  • This is lovely work James. It shouts ‘English wedding’. Although being English, it doesn’t shout does it; it says it subtly and with a quiet elegance.
