Prestwold wedding photos
Prestwold Hall wedding photographer. Louise and James’s wedding at Prestwold Hall was the perfect winter celebration. Prestwold Hall is a stunning venue all year around and none more so in the winter months. The wood panelled-rooms make for wonderfully romantic and warming day. Especially when you are tucked up indoors, watching the biting cold wind whip around the countryside views. It does a great job of being intimate and cosy yet plenty of room to spread out and enjoy the party.
The wedding itself was held at St Andrew’s Church which is a short walk down the drive from the main hall. It is one of my favourite churches to photograph in. The view from the balcony down the aisle is impressive. It’s a huge space steeped in history and tradition. Warm, tungsten lighting and candelabras all around helped along with some beautiful flower arrangements. It gave a solemn and joyous occasion.

The only gap between the warm church and the warm hall was a very chilly walk between the two. And it was very chilly! The wind was bitterly cold. Nothing was going to dampen these guys spirits though. So wonderfully wrapped up in each other, it was such a lovely thing to witness. Having said that, Louise did have a very thick fur wrap as well! It did make for an interesting confetti photo as the confetti blew through so fast. Usually the guests follow the bride and groom up the drive but it was a race to the warmth.

It didn’t take long for the celebrations to warm up. The bar was full with noise and happiness and guests spread out through the many rooms on the ground floor. Some brilliant and heartfelt speeches throughout the meal and onto a huge party in the evening. A brilliant day at one of my favourite wedding venues.
