Savoy Hotel wedding photographer. Susan and James’s wedding was elegant, intimate and incredibly stylish. The marriage ceremony was in St Brides Church, one of the most beautiful churches in London. The church was designed by Wren and is one my favourite spaces to photograph in – it also has some of the most amazing acoustics and as the choir were there and made for an incredible ceremony. Whilst the guests made their way to the reception at The Savoy, we went for a little drive to Westminster to get some photos on the south bank – nothing draws more cheers and congratulations from random tourists than turning up in a wedding dress (Susan …not me!)

The reception itself was held in the Churchill Room of the Savoy Hotel, a wood paneled dining room overlooking the Thames and was set up for Prime Ministers private dining events throughout the years. I’m sure if the walls could talk, they’d tell a tale or two. But no need for that though as James was ritually roasted during his best man’s speech!
Here are a few of my favourite images from the day.
LONDON EMBANKMENT PHOTOS
We planned a quick detour to the Embankment for a few photos. Nothing like a glamorous bride hopping across a busy London street to get a few cheers from passing tourists. Where the tourists were pleased to see us, it was a bit of a challenge to get some classical photos around them. We managed and even got some of the Houses of Parliament before the scaffolding goes up for the next few years refurbishment. Then back in the Rolls Royce to get a few more photos in and around the icon Savoy Hotel.
Formalities done, it was into the hotel itself for the drinks reception and a much needed glass of some champagne. Savoy Hotel wedding photographer
