Hampshire wedding photographer. Autumn hung thick in the air for Jockey and Georgie’s wedding. Beautiful, crisp clear morning with rich golden sunshine making the yellowing leaves glow golden. You could just breathe in the richness of day. The sun gave way to a muted misty afternoon and an early evening chill letting us know summer was on it’s way out and winter was waiting.

Yup, well, enough of the waffly weather report, let’s get to the important bit – this was an absolute belter of a day, from start to finish! Two kinder and happier people you are less likely to meet than this brilliant couple. Welcoming warm smiles full of charm and life; gentle laughter all day long and an out and out blast of a party in the evening.

Flowers were the theme of the day and none more so than the incredible displays that were put together in the church and in the marquee. Autumn weddings always have a glorious choice of flora for that time of year but this was quite incredible. The bouquets were works of art – but the flower girls bouquets probably second in John’s importance as they were wearing the tartan he rides in.

A short walk from the house to the ushers lunch at the pub; an a shorter walk from the house to the church for the ceremony. I’m sure there’s a deep significance in that and not only just very convenient. It did make for a very easy day for the guests. And a very civilised day all round. A lively reception which rolled over into a sumptuous evening, dotted with a few brilliant speeches – brilliantly funny for the guests although Jockey & Georgina had a few uncomfortable moments! The evening headed into a very energetic dance floor with Georgie’s mother showing up the guests with her elegance and skills. Jockey, you did your best to keep up but I have to say it, you were royally out-shone!

Many congratulations to the loveliest of lovely couples and look forward to welcoming their new arrival not too long. Hampshire wedding photographer.
