Suffolk engagement photography

Suffolk engagement photography. Meg and Rob were keen on a sunset beach shoot. The only problem with Suffolk is that being in the east, we get amazing sunrises on the beach but not so hot on sunsets. So we had to make a compromise, either a beach or a sunset but not both. Happily we went for a beach shoot which meant heading off to one of my favourite parts of the world. Suffolk has its fair share of long, sandy beaches. With so many to choose from, it usually means that a lot of the time, you have the beach to yourself. You might have the occasional dog walker or keen swimmer but on the whole, for as far as the eye can see, the beach is yours.
Engagement photo ideas
As with most engagement shoots, the plan was minimal. The outcomes were also a little left to fate. Ideally we get a few decent photos from the shoot but also it gave Meg & Rob an idea of how I work and how to temper the experience to make the most of their photos on their wedding day. I like to keep things as simple as possible and an engagement shoot is just an extended and less pressured version of what we’ll do on the wedding day. This was probably a little less pressured than a normal engagement shoot, to be fair! Both Rob & Meg were very easy company to be with, I’d happily have chatted with them all day … but I had a job to do as well.
Suffolk beach photography
Apart from a hiccup with the drone (must get that fixed before wedding season kicks in!) the evening was brilliant experience. Although I know that a big, bold sunset would have been the order of the day, gentle pastel colours that the day gave us meant these two could stand out rather than let the landscape do all the talking. I don’t say that glibly either, their characters and chemistry really outshone anything any landscape could offer. So very much looking forward to their wedding; if today is anything to go by, it’s going to be an absolute corker! Suffolk engagement photography.
