Jewish wedding photography
Belvedere wedding photography. This is a bit of a special wedding for me. Venetia has been a great friend to my wife for many years and now to all our family. She’s been there from when my wife and I first met, through our wedding and all our children. She’s always been full of energy, enthusiasm and positivity but most of all, lots and lots of laughter. To be able to be a part of this day is a real privilege. Her commitment to Jeremie has been fantastic, her conversion to Judaism and the bonus of their little girl. It’s the start of an incredible journey for them all.
It was a traditional Jewish wedding ceremony held in The West London Synagogue. It combines all the formality of the ceremony in a more informal surrounding creating a more inclusive space for all family and friends. Venetia and Jeremie had worked hard with the rabbi and his wife towards the wedding so the ceremony itself felt like it was being officiated by a friend as much as anything. I love the solemnity of a Jewish wedding but I also love the theatre of it all. When the room erupts after Jeremie smashed the glass was just superb, breaking the tension with so much joy.
Holland Park wedding photos
After the ceremony, everyone jumped on a traditional red route master double decker bus and headed up to Holland Park for the wedding reception. It’s almost an event in itself, everyone always gets off the bus with huge smiles! Then into The Belvedere in Holland Park for the drinks. This is a little gem of a venue, so stylish, an oasis in the city. The restaurant backs onto The Orangery and has the whole park at it’s disposal for guest to walk around and enjoy. It also has it’s own balcony for privacy.

The relaxed afternoon led into a full on and energetic evening. Speeches were plentiful and heart felt, so much love for these two from family and good friends. The room looked stunning with great attention to detail. Warm, subtle lighting adding a cozy feel before the evening kicked off. And it kicked off in style, I love the chaos of a dance floor at a Jewish wedding. A perfect finish to a perfect day!
