"Jim was very unobtrusive throughout and he managed to capture some stunning shots, both of us, our guests and the day itself.”

English Country wedding. Some weddings are quite simply sublime. This wedding was one of those. Everything settled just right – from the impeccable planning to the glorious summer weather. In the middle of it all were the brilliant Danni & George; a lovely, kind, happy and generous couple with great chemistry. Both of them were determined to enjoy their day and to make sure that everyone else did too. You couldn’t really ask for more.

It was a day full of laughter and very few nerves. Lots of excitement and happy vibes. Right from the start of the day with Danni’s preparations through to the dancing at the end of the night, the day bubbled along joyfully.

The day started with the surprising calm of the bridal preparations. Not a phrase you hear too often. But then again, with good planning, there doesn’t have to be any chaos. Danni’s hair was in the very capable and calm hands of Natalie and supplied with prosecco by her father. The boys were doing what boys tend to do before a wedding, an ushers lunch followed by general confusion on how buttonholes work. Impressed with natty sock collection, the colour theme details reached that level. Then off to St Mary’s in the estate of Easton Neston – a quintessentially ancient English church set in the grounds of the main estate.

English wedding cars

Danni arrived in a lovely vintage car that was picture perfect in this bit of countryside. And George sped them away in an open top MG. Back to George’s parents house for drinks reception in the garden followed by meal and speeches in the marquee. They were piped in by a friend, which always rallies the guests. The marquee followed the colour scheme of the day with duck egg blue and pastel pinks; stunning table-scaping (my new word) with bamboo cutlery and wheat. There were so many little personal touches added in as well.

Wedding dancing

Although the weather was picture perfect all day, we sort of, just got a sunset in the evening. Although this made for a bit of a highlight, the evening really was down to the party and a lot of dancing. No one was holding back either!
