Nether Winchendon House wedding. Off to one of my favourite venues this week for the Nether Winchendon House wedding of Kelly and Aidan. Glorious sunshine was the long awaited and perfect backdrop for this wedding – it’s incredible what the sun will do to bring out the smiles! Wonderfully relaxed day after a beautiful and emotional ceremony at St. Mary’s Church, Wendover. The guests at this Nether Winchendon House wedding enjoyed the reception on the terrace and lawns followed by the wedding breakfast in the barn. The speeches took us on an emotional rollercoaster – with Kelly’s father no longer with us, Kelly’s grandfather took on the honour giving an honest and powerful speech.

After the sublime came the ruthlessly funny best man’s speech, it’s a real talent to tear the groom to pieces without offending anyone and having everyone in stitches. The evening was ended with a very enthusiastic Ceilidh, more champagne equals more enthusiasm! I’m making any judgements about the amount of champagne drunk but the evening and the dancing was certainly very enthusiastic, a joy to watch but I had to be very fast on my feet not to get squashed.
