RAMSTER HALL WINTER WEDDING
Ramster Hall wedding photos. Love these guys; love Ramster! I was genuinely very excited when I got Sophie’s email booking me to photograph their wedding at Ramster Hall. I had met both Sophie and Josh at Sophie’s sister’s wedding at The Long Barn a couple of summer’s ago. Already chuckling to myself at the memory of that lovely day and I knew that Sophie & Josh’s day would have the same warm, welcoming, funny energy. And that there would also be the father of the bride speech …
The pressure was on for Sophie’s father’s now (in)famous abilities at speech making. Bets were being placed as to where he would go with his speech this time. Where he would be allowed to go? Thankfully he did not disappoint. Even with a bit of judicious editing from Sophie’s mum, the speech brought the house down. Poor Josh, he expecting a rough time from his best men but he got it from his Father in Law as well!
SNOW AT A WINTER WEDDING
As always, the weather forecast provided a few anxious days before the wedding. Snow storms due to hit the south right over the wedding. Could guests make it? Could we all make it! We woke up to a picture perfect winters day. A clean blanket of fresh snow creating arcades of wintery woodlands and fields. All sparkling in the bright sunshine. Ahhh, and relax, it’s going to be okay. We still had our fair share of snow by the afternoon but the sunshine had done an incredible job of melting away most of it. Quick, let’s get outside and get those snowy pictures!
Ramster Hall was a perfect choice for this wedding. Wood panelled rooms with wintery cosiness fitted in with their wood theme – even the wedding rings were made of wood. Lots of rustic and organic charm mixed in the elegance of the hall. Superbly looked after all day long by the lovely folks at Jacaranda. And this would not have been a family wedding if there weren’t plenty of partying to be had late into the evening.
