Cowley Manor wedding photography. Cowley Manor is a grand historical manor given a new life. It is filled to the brim with boutique chic. Which makes it a stunning venue and incredibly relaxed and welcoming. And there’s something magical about Cotswold sandstone buildings that just seem to glow in the summer sunshine. Perfect backdrop for Lucy and Matt’s September wedding. We were blessed with glorious sunshine and a late summer warmth making it one of the most ideal wedding days. One of the great benefits of weddings at Cowley Manor is that the old family church is very close to the Manor, a stone’s throw away. A very short throw. Bridal preparations, a quiet pint for the groom and the church are all within a short walk of each other.

The church is a picture perfect, charming English country church before stepping across to the main house for an elegant reception in the Manor and on the sprawling lawns overlooking the lake. Everything is done so well, with the incredibly subtle contrasts of modern and traditional, making this an exceptional venue for a wedding.

After the ceremony, you walk through the house and out onto one of the most spectacular terraces. A patio leads to large steps that lead to a lawn, more steps and a lake. It takes a while for your eyes to take it all in and just when it does, there’s still more to discover. Hidden gardens and pathways take you around lush gardens, each giving you a unique aspect of the house. To one side is a stepped waterfall straight out of an Italian villa garden. In this sunshine you sometimes forget that you are in the heart of England and not a Tuscan hillside.
