Winter wedding photography at Farm Street Church
Farm Street Church winter wedding. When I met up with Rachael and Will before Christmas for venue visit, we took bets on what the weather would be like on the wedding day. Will kept his fingers crossed for snow, mine was for anything dry but Rachael was quietly positive about anything that came our way. Her quiet calm and and gentle enthusiasm really was the mainstay of this whole day. Everything organised efficiently, thoroughly and in it’s place which allowed everything to happen as it should; everyone to enjoy the day as it should and to adapt things if they need to. More importantly it meant she could have an absolute blast throughout!
London winter wedding
Bridal prep was a mixture of Asian and English influences. Plenty of nods to Will’s cultural heritage throughout the wedding but nothing like sharing the first champagne of the morning in a very elegant tea cup and saucer! The day as a whole was multicultural bringing friends and family from every corner of the world, a testament to what an influence this couple have had on so many people. After the bridal prep it was over to where it really all started, Farm Street Church. This is where Will was christened so it is not only a magnificent church to get married in, it also has deep significance. It really is an incredibly beautiful church, stepping in out of a grey winters day into it’s warm golden glow. I’m not going to try and wax lyrical about the church, I think only the photos can do it justice!

Mosimman’s Restaurant wedding reception
With the guests on a big red double decker bus, we headed off to Mosimann’s Restaurant for the restaurant for the wedding reception. One of London’s restaurant gems, under-stated and over-delivering. The restaurant was the perfect size for the amount of guests and the meant that the bustle of noise and energy was kept up throughout the day. Canapés, cake, speeches and lots of amazing food were over all too soon. Rachael and Will had planned their day so they could leave to catch an early evening plane and onto their honeymoon. A quick change of clothes and a shower of confetti and an incredible wintery day was left with a lovely warm glow.
A very special mention must go to Jeremy Smith, the toastmaster, who wrangled, toasted and kept everyone thoroughly amused throughout.
