Haileybury wedding photos. As a wedding photographer, I’m not really supposed to have favourite weddings. It’s true, every wedding is unique with it’s own individual style and charm. But I have to say, Emma and Freddie’s wedding was an absolute belter! Right up there with the top weddings. Great family and friends, you could feel that everyone was there in huge support and willing them both on. And, if the dance floor was anything to go by, certainly up for a party!
Both the marriage and reception were impressive locations. Both being Old Haileyburians, it was a natural choice for them to get married in their old school chapel at Haileybury. I’m a bit biased about Haileybury as I was there a couple of years. Well a few years ago. Okay quite a few years before Emma and Freddie. Which meant I spent a lot of the day wandering around saying things like “…oh, it’s all changed, not like this in my day..” and the obligatory “…they’ve got it easy now, I remember when …”.
Winter wedding photos at Haileybury College
Whatever your impressions of school days, Haileybury has hugely impressive architecture and an incredible backdrop for a wedding ceremony. With a late winter start, things were almost dark when the ceremony ended but we managed to eek out the last of a beautiful winter sunset. A glass or two fizz in chapel before heading off to the reception at Hatfield House.

Reception venues don’t come much more impressive than the Old Palace at Hatfield House. A huge space filled with history and style. As well as this incredible backdrop, the events team and staff were incredibly slick and helpful (a team I can highly recommend). After the solemnity of the wedding ceremony, this is where the party kicked off, if there weren’t at least a few sore heads the morning after, I would be very surprised! Haileybury wedding photos.
Huge congratulations to the new Mr & Mrs Solway!
