Riverside House Hotel wedding. For someone who had a huge night the night before, Katie looked incredibly well. The glass of bubbles halfway through having her makeup done might have helped. But by the time she was dressed and ready, there was no signs of the night before and she looked absolutely drop dead gorgeous. Katie and Dean’s wedding was all about having a laugh; no airs and graces just good, honest belting ol’ time! And it really was job done, this was a brilliant day full of fun, family and and a lot of laughter.

The Riverside House Hotel looked fantastic in the late autumn sunshine, we were blessed with a glorious day of golden light. Which meant that we could get out onto the lawns for the reception and make the most of the weather. You can’t beat a bit of low lying sunshine for a few atmospheric photos. Throughout it all, I don’t think Katie stops beaming.

As ever, the speeches were not in Dean’s favour …well, apparently he’s not an Ipswich Town fan so he was never going to get the warmest of welcomes! But that’s not strictly true, the speeches were something that made the day. They were some of the most heartfelt and honest speeches, making not only Dean feel welcome but all friends and family. Even Katie’s sister made an emotional speech bring a tear to a few eyes!
Formalities done, it was time for the evening party. (Was that Will Young I saw covered in lipstick kisses?) And a party which I am sure went on till late into the evening. I just hope Kate’s hangover the next day was okay and not as tricky as the one that started the day! Here’s to a brilliant couple and an amazing wedding day!
