Old Hall Ely wedding photography. The Old Hall, Ely is a Jacobean manor house set in 3000 acres in the heart of Cambridgeshire with views all the way to Ely Cathedral. Even on a grey and chilly early winter’s day, it’s a little gem of a venue for a wedding.

Charlotte and Ben had worked incredibly hard to make this day perfect. They were both beyond excited! Every part of the day was carefully and elegantly put together and they loved every minute of it. It was an absolute pleasure to be a part of and a joy to watch. Both were bubbling with excitement before the wedding started and they didn’t really come down all day.

The ceremony was held in the main drawing room of the hall. It was intimate and cosy as well as being very emotional. We were lucky with the weather in that even though it was a bit grey, we still had plenty of opportunity to make the most of the outdoor space. This is always an unexpected luxury for a winter wedding but definitely something to make the most of. Then into the marquee for the meal and evening party. It’s a great space and it makes the most of the view across to Ely Cathedral. One of the things I never get bored of at The Old Hall is the big reveal for the first dance.
